Jon Tingley
Jon is a senior at UWM working towards a degree in Journalism with a minor in Psychology and a certificate in LGBT Studies. He works with UWM Union Programming as the Program Coordinator for the UWM Union Recreation Center. Jon is the former Vice President of the UWM Student Association, and has also served the students as a student senator and LGBT Issues Director. Jon gained valuable experience with first year students as a Student Manager at the First Year Center when it opened in 2007. He will be working with the other bloggers to keep you up-to-date on Campus KickOff events as well as live-blogging PANTHERFEST.
Epiphany Outlaw
Epiphany is a sophomore at UWM, double-majoring in Pre-Med and Jewish Studies. She works in the UWM Graduate School Services office and also as a mentor with the First Year Center. Epiphany is very involved with the Multicultural Student Center and volunteers for various events in her free time. She often involuntarily smiles and has a habit of laughing at absolutely nothing. In addition to all of this, she owns her own pair of bowling shoes. Along with the other bloggers, she’ll be informing you about Campus KickOff and PANTHERFEST.
Lee Rowley
Lee is a senior at UWM and is graduating in December with a degree in Journalism and a minor in English. He currently he works for Union Programming as an Event Coordinator where he organizes and runs numerous events throughout the year like the Gasthaus Entertainment Series. Also, he works as supervisor at Be On the Safe Side (B.O.S.S.). Lee also interns for Freight Train Creative, an advertising agency in downtown Milwaukee, in special event planning and public relations. Outside of work, Lee is involved heavily in writing, producing and performing sketch comedy and improv at Comedysportz and the Alchemist Theatre.
Kwame Amegashitsi
Kwame is a third year student studying Civil Engineering. He was born and spent most of his time in Ghana, Africa. Kwame likes traveling to other countries and interacting with people of different cultures. He works for University Information and Marketing Services in the Student Union. he also works as an RA mentor with engineering and computer science programs for incoming students. Kwame is really excited to be one of the students blogging to keep you posted on Campus KickOff and PANTHERFEST this fall.
Ashley Rolfe
Ashley is a senior at UWM working towards a degree in Journalism with an emphasis in public relations. She works for UWM’s University Communications and Media Relations as their student intern. Her projects include writing, editing, coordinating projects and everything in between. Ashley is a member of the UWM Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). In her free time, Ashley enjoys following the Brewers. She can’t wait to enjoy her second PANTHERFEST!
Jim Tindell
Jim is a junior at UWM, pursuing a degree in Film Studies and a minor in Mass Communications. He works in the UWM Bookstore, and is a Campus Ambassador and Freshman Mentor during the Fall and Spring semesters. His work with incoming students this past summer during New Freshman Orientation has given him an opportunity to help introduce the campus and its culture, as well as gain knowledge of every service and resource opportunity UWM has to offer. His favorite part about campus life is its community-like atmosphere; Jim can’t wait to see everybody at this year’s Campus KickOff events and PANTHERFEST!
