Jon Tingley

Jon is a 5th year senior at UWM working towards a degree in Journalism with a minor in Psychology and a certificate in LGBT Studies. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he plans to attend graduate school for Higher Education Administration / Student Affairs. Jon works with UWM Union Programming as the Program Coordinator for the UWM Union Recreation Center and is also a driver for UWM’s Be On The Safe Side service. Jon is the former Vice President of the UWM Student Association, and has also served the students as a student senator and LGBT Issues Director. Jon gained valuable experience with first year students as a Student Manager at the First Year Center when it opened in 2007. He will be leading the bloggers this year to keep you up-to-date on Campus KickOff events as well as live-blogging PANTHERFEST.
Kwame Amegashitsi

Kwame is a senior at UWM studying Civil Engineering. He was born and spent most of his time in Ghana, Africa. Kwame likes traveling to other countries and interacting with people of different cultures. He works for University Information and Marketing Services in the Student Union. he also works as an RA mentor with engineering and computer science programs for incoming students. Kwame is really excited to be one of the students blogging to keep you posted on Campus KickOff events and PANTHERFEST this fall.
Jim Tindell
Jim is a senior at UWM, finishing up his degree in Film Studies. He works in the UWM Bookstore and interns with Milwaukee Film as the Feature Programming Assistant for the upcoming 2009 Milwaukee Film Festival, which will feature films this fall at the UWM Union Theatre. His work with incoming students the past two summers during New Freshman Orientation has given him an opportunity to help introduce the campus and its culture, as well as gain knowledge of every service and resource opportunity UWM has to offer. His favorite part about campus life is its community-like atmosphere; Jim can’t wait to see everybody at this year’s Campus KickOff events and PANTHERFEST!
Brittini Raygo
Brittini is starting her second year here at UWM. She is pursing a Global Studies Major with a certifcate in Peace Studies. Brittini works for the Student Housing Administrative Council (SHAC) in the Residence Halls as an Event Coordinator. She is also a mentor in the First Year Center. Brittini loves volunteering with the Center for Volunteerism and Student Leadership (CVSL) and is working toward an M3C Scholarship through Americorps. In her free time Brittini likes to be outdoors, and she especially enjoys camping. Brittini is excited to be working with the other bloggers to keep you up-to-date on Campus KickOff events and PANTHERFEST!
Brian Putz

Brian is a 23 year old Videographer and Motion Graphic designer in his final semester at UWM. He is seeking a degree focused on Interdisciplinary Arts and Technology (Art-Tech), formerly DIVAS. Brian is currently the Web and Digital Media Assistant for University Housing, taking care of all of their digital media needs including video work to web maintenance.
Mychoua Vang

Mychoua is a senior for the upcoming Fall semester. She is double majoring in Sociology and Creative writing with a Journalism & Media Communications minor and an Ethnic Comparative Studies certificate. She plans to attend graduate school for sociology. Perhaps during this time, she’ll manage to publish some of her poetry or short stories in literary magazines and whatnots. Mychoua is also active with the student organizations on campus. She served as the Public Relations officer for Asian Student Union and is involved with Minority Media Association. She currently works at Union Marketing Services as a marketing office assistant.
