U-Pass, Segways, Zipcar, U-Bike, oh my!

Ever wondered it would be like to ride on Segway and without the fear of humiliation or failure? Or, what that whole Zipcar thing was about and how to get involved? How about this one: ever wondered it would be like to rent a bike rather then own? You know, like an apartment… Well, then you definitely need to check out the Alternative Transportation Event in Spaights plaza on September 3rd at 11am. They’re going to have a number of alternative ways for students to get around. Check out the list:

• Parking and Transit will be on hand getting students set up with U-Pass and answering their questions.
• Segway of Milwaukee will have a big 30 x 30 training course for all of your Segway needs.
• UW-Milwaukee’s chapter of Zipcar will be on hand too! In fact, you’ll be able to sign up for the service.
• U-Bike will be showing off the huge amount of bikes you can rent.
• The Alternative Power & Energy student organization will be giving a live demonstration making BioFuel!
